Rethinking Food: Local and Global Stories

On March 5, 2018, the East Africa Interns from the Fall of 2017 hosted an event to showcase stories and presentations from the internships, and provide a space to talk about local projects focusing on the future of food in Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley.

Joined by Abbotsford Community Services’ Day 1 Urban Farm and Field House Brewing Company, the interns created an open-house style evening to open up dialogue with guests from the community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this evening of sharing, and thank you to the Queen Elizabeth Scholars program, the University of the Fraser Valley, UFV International and Cherie Enns for helping to make this internship program and events like these possible.
